Workshop Goals

The Interim Resource Management Assistance (IRMA) Workshop is hosted by the Government of the Northwest Territories, Department of Environment and Climate Change (ECC).

The workshop will start with tips and tricks to filling out an application for IRMA funding. Afterwards, attendees will be asked to share how they have used the funding to ensure their organizations are involved in resource management processes.  We would also like to hear suggestions on how the proposal process could be improved.

Then the focus will shift to the 2020 NWT Environmental Audit. The Independent Auditor will present on what the Audit is about and how input is being gathered. Since IRMA participants are involved in resource management at the community level, the Audit team will spend some time discussing how you think the regulatory system is working to protect the environment. Travel costs

Everyone is welcome to attend. Funding for travel is available for one person from each organization through the IRMA program. If you require travel assistance please indicate in the form below. Each request will be individually assessed.
