Although population density in the Northwest Territories is very low, many communities report increasing disturbance over entire regions as a result of greater human activity. This focal point provides indicators on human activities, including human travel, that may cause short term disturbances to the environment. Changes in human activity trends can be used to look at changes in short-term disturbance to wildlife and people.
