More information on the Pan-Territorial Adaptation Strategy and Partnership and the work that is undertaken through it is available at the following websites: www.anorthernvision.ca and www.northernadaptation.ca
Wildland fire management
The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) provides wildland fire management throughout the Northwest Territories (NWT). For more information on the impacts of climate change on wildland fire, and on programs of wildland fire prevention and protection, such as the FireSmart program, please see Fire Operations.
Arctic Adaptation Exchange
The Arctic Council Sustainable Development Working Group, in conjunction with several partners, has developed Arctic Adaptation Exchange, which lists and maps adaptation projects taking place across the Arctic. This resource provides an excellent overview of not only GNWT actions, but the actions of our territorial and federal counterparts in regards to climate change adaptation.
