Wildfire professionals from around the continent and the world have been coming to the CBCFS projects site (formerly the International Crown Fire Modeling Experiment - ICFME) since 1997.
Forest Fire Prevention and Suppression Guidelines for Industrial Activities are issued as directions necessary for carrying out the FOREST FIRE PROTECTION ACT. The Guidelines provide direction to forest managers and industrial operators for forest fire prevention and suppression, in areas where operations are taking place during the closed season.
