The Knowledge Agenda is a tool that will be used by GNWT leaders, planners, policy-makers and researchers, in conjunction with GNWT legislation, policies, strategies and plans to advance the strategic goals of government and ultimately improve the quality of information used to make decisions in the Territory.

The Guidelines were developed by the Land and Water Boards of the Mackenzie Valley in collaboration with the GNWT and INAC. The purpose of these Guidelines is to:
describe expectations of proponents when preparing closure cost estimates (section 2.0); and
outline processes for determining how much security may be required to cover the costs of closure and reclamation (section 3.0).
