One way to reduce our impact on the earth and environment is through recycling and reducing waste.

Environment and Natural Resources, through the Waste Reduction and Recovery Act, can implement programs to recover, reuse, and recycle waste products/materials throughout the NWT or ban certain materials that damage our environment. The Beverage Container Program, a waste reduction and recovery program, is offered in all NWT communities.
