Sample WMIS Loadforms

All wildlife data collected can be entered into the appropriate WMIS loadform (Microsoft Excel workbook) according to the type of survey listed below. If your survey type does not fit one of the loadforms listed below, contact the WMIS Team:

To request a WMIS loadform, contact the WMISTeam. 

Loadform Type	Description
Aerial Survey Loadform	For use with data collected from fixed wing and/or rotary aircraft surveys to inventory wildlife populations
Capture Markings Survey	For use with data captured when physical tags (bands, collars, etc.) are used.  The tag is often identified through an imprinted identification number and / or a unique colour combination.
Telemetry Data Loadform	For use with data captured on wildlife movements using GPS, satellite, and / or VHF relocation devices.
Specimen Survey Loadform	For use with collected species samples for anatomical studies such as necropsies. New columns can be added to accommodate unique measurements collected.
Random Observation Survey Loadform	For use with random observations collected under a non-structured methodology, or by 'chance'.  The observations may be collected with no time or area limitations and are not collected in association with any other survey.  Examples of random observation surveys are surveys done by backyard birders and naturalists.
