Background Information on GNWT Standard Operating Procedures 

NOTE: For species or for special procedures (e.g., long-distance translocation, captive breeding) where SOPs are not available, specific animal handling protocols should be developed with the consultation and participation of a wildlife veterinarian (that is, a licensed veterinarian with demonstrated expertise in the capture and handling of wildlife).
