Research
Environment and Natural Resources facilitates, contributes to, conducts, and is responsible for research and studies on all wildlife species in the NWT.
The Western NWT Biophysical Study was established in 2003 to help ensure that baseline data necessary to assess, mitigate and monitor the environmental impacts of proposed developments in the Western NWT is available to industry, regulators, communities and government. The Study focuses on areas within the mandate of Environment and Natural Resources including wildlife, wildlife habitat, forest resources and air quality.
