The Department of Environment and Natural Resources ensures the continued operation of the NWT's 24-Hour Spill Report Line as part of the Hazardous Substances Program.  The Department is also responsible for coordinating the GNWT response to spills of contaminants, ensuring contaminated sites are cleaned up by the polluter and controlling the use of pesticide products.
