Amphibians and Reptiles
Six species of amphibians and two species of reptiles are known to occur in the Northwest Territories. Their distribution and abundance is restricted by the harsh climate. The limited extend of our current knowledge of these species in the NWT restricts our ability to make informed decisions regarding their conservation. More information is needed on the distribution and abundance of amphibians and reptiles in the NWT.
