IT'S A WILD FALL ROUND
UP
Welcome back to another year of "WILD-ness"! This
has certainly been a busy time for the WILD gals at Renewable
Resources. We didn't spend much time behind our desks this summer;
our co-workers and the piles of papers can attest to that. If we
were spotted in the office, it was to unpack one box of program
materials, re-pack another one, and leave to catch the next plane.
This summer was a series of firsts --seeing a grizzly bear in the
wild, rafting down the Nahanni River, becoming aware of evidence
from ancient peoples, learning how to make stone tools, and sharing
the environment with some very special young adults from Ft. Simpson
and Yellowknife.
Judging from the articles submitted for this
issue of The WILD Times, you have been as busy as us. Inside is a
compilation of some of the amazing environmental education programs
and events that have happened since the spring of this year. For
good measure, we have included WILD updates, resources, and a few
winter activities.
