WELCOME TO A NEW YEAR OF THE WILD TIMES

What WILD adventures have NWT students and teachers been up to lately? This issue features articles on students rafting the Nahanni River, scuba diving off the coast of Cozumel, Mexico and camping out at Netsilik Lake - all programs designed to help students understand more about the environment and their place in it. Teachers have been learning about the land, too. Here are their stories on the first Summer Institute for Cross-Cultural Science and Environment Education and the Kitikmeot Advanced Project WILD Workshop.

Inside you will also find reviews of two new northern books, activities and resources. So sit back for a little WILD armchair adventuring…
