Wild times

WELCOME TO THE FIRST ISSUE OF THE WILD TIMES

The WILD Times is written for Project WILD teachers and others interested in environment education in the Northwest Territories. Our intent is to keep you informed about new developments and adaptations for Project WILD, give you access to new resources and provide a forum for you to exchange ideas on environment education.

The WILD Times will come your way three times a year in fall, winter and spring. We have selected the format to encourage you to keep issues in a reference binder.

We hope The WILD Times informs and inspires you. We welcome your suggestions and contributions.

Meet the Editors

Hi! We're Brenda Hans and Rosanna Strong, Environmental Education Specialists with the Department of Renewable Resources in Yellowknife. We co-ordinate Project WILD in the NWT, develop environment education materials and present outdoor education programs.
We have had fun working with many of you in Project WILD workshops and look forward to going WILD with more of you in the upcoming year.

Before we can teach children, we have to give them a reason for learning: the reason being to become part of the world; thinking it together rather than in pieces.
